AARGGH!! I HATE THE PM SYSTEM HERE!!

Ok, sorry to shout, but really .... I've just spent quite a while writing out a looong PM in reply to another forum member, and yet again, I've lost sections of it when clicking on the 'view more emoticons' box. This has happened to me several times now, it's bloody infuriating because it means you have to go back to the beginning of the process and start again. [fire] [fire] This has also happened to me several times when my connection has lapsed as I'm writing, and instead of being able to just send the PM when you've reconnected, the text disappears completely. I give up!!

Oh well *calms down, takes deep breaths*

Michael, thanks so much for you-know-what, I'm an idiot though so can you tell me how to get to it? [help]

Sara, I'll email/text/phone/send a homing pigeon instead!!

Elizabeth, perhaps you should get in the habit of copying your text into something temporary like a notepad file, so right before you click submit, or "view more emoticons" you'll know you have a back up

I got mine,thanks,Beth.I find the PM system here a lot more clunky than...(sigh)...CQD's was....
Today I'm supposed to be getting onto Broadband and it won't foggin' work.Grrr...bloody technology. [fire]

I'm sorry to read that it doesn't work that well.

The only solution I have is to erase a few of the smilies..... So the "view more emoticons" link will disappear. I can't think of any other technical solution.

It's just happened to me again when trying to reply to this post - the smilies I use most often are on the 'view more emoticons' link, I went to post them to show you and promptly lost the whole of your quoted message and what I'd written in reply!

Maybe you could move the 'big grin' and 'kiss' smilies on to the main list or something?
