A new stinanordenstam.com - work in progress

I've been contacted by V2 regarding making a new official Stina site.

I've so far teamed up with Daniel (The Swedish one) - he's the one that has designed the site graphics.

Things are still in works, but:

do you have any suggestions, ideas about what should be on the site? Speak out!

"As you will probably know Stina does not have an official website and we are looking for someone to manage (with content being delivered from V2) and build a website. Would you be interested in doing this? The site would sit at stinanordenstam.com. "

You must be SOOO excited!
Oh gosh, this is like a miracle! You just start a fan site and then get approached from the record company!
Super congrats to you Kuhn!!!
And great choice in getting with Daniel, he seems to be also full of ressources!
I hope this will not stir jealousies between the members here though...

I think the same thing happened to V?ronique - CQD was first a small site hosted on geocities or something?

I hope not. Like I said before, I'm very interested in feedback, contributions and don't normally speak in riddles.

I'm still waiting for V2's response.

Well, yes...But that still seems incredible to me!
Well, if you ever have some money spare to spend on an employee, I could clean very well the toilets of the new website offices and I make good coffee!
And my wife cooks some brilliant georgian and buriat specialties!

Ooh... so the secret?s out now.

Please note that this is just a dummy website for the V2 people to look at. There are a lot of things that are unfinished. Mmyes... I guess that's all. I hope you like the design - I spent a lot of work making it as authentic as possible.

Great news! I'm happy that V2 asked the fans to make a new official site, that's the way it works best.
Generally I don't like white on black, because it's tiring for my myope eyes, but it goes with the album artwork, so it's ok.

I've thought about this. For longer texts like long news-entries or articles I could fix a "black on white" option. I definitely know that it's tiring to read longer texts with white text on black background.

See? This is why your input is very valuable!

This is not meant to be taken negatively at all, but i fear it'll come off that way. Don't be offended!

We all know Stina is unlike any other artist ever known. So why shouldn't her site be any different? It shouldn't look like every other band site out there. There should be something that catches you. Something that makes everyone say, "Who the hell is this?" just by looking at the site. Something that makes people want to explore her and her music.

Notice i use the word "something" cuz not even I know what the hell I'm talking about. I just know I LOVED the Barbie site.

Games are a must too! Spinning that wheel and seeing clips or pictures was so entertaining.

And then when you picked a bunch of desciptive words and.....something happened. I forgot.

Just a thought or two. But remember: GAMES

One comment I would make having seen the "dummy-site" (and maybe its what Ruth was refering to?) and that is I think any website about Stina Nordenstam should be designed around Stina and not designed around any given album.

The website needs to have its own identity,its own personality as it were.

Albums will (hopefully) come and go over the next 10,20 years or so and if the look of the website constantly changes to reflect the look of each album, then the site will just end up looking like a series of product adverts.

One site,one design (reflecting the general atmosphere of Stina's music) .....and lets keep a look of continuity to the presentation.

So,up todate news, imput from Stina herself as to how her work was created, a few new photos and this forum.......I'd settle for that.

Great news and congrats Kuhn and Daniel; i guess your hard work pays off.

As to the ideas here i would also agree that the site should have a more stina centered look that is out of the ordinary for band or artist sites; maybe it could be more like the CQD book, with inputs from us fans about Stina, mixed with lyrics, sound samples, videos, games -indeed ruth

I would also like a site that looks bigger when viewed on a larger screen, cause it looks so small now (is it 800x600?)
And of course i hope this forum will find it's place on the new site
