Don't get lost!


It reminded me when our daughter once got lost in a shop at Meadow Hall (Sheffield) when she'd started getting tired of sitting in the pram and walked around while we shopped. The one and only time we "lost" her.

It reminded me when our daughter once got lost in a shop at Meadow Hall (Sheffield) when she'd started getting tired of sitting in the pram and walked around while we shopped. The one and only time we "lost" her.

I guess that was 'panic stations' for a few minutes?

I'm reminded of an incident in our family which must have happened nearly eighty years ago.

My great grandmother took her grandson (my uncle) up town shopping one Satuday morning in the pram.
Her last port of call was the butchers and she left the pram with my uncle in it outside. In those days you could do that sort of thing.

Anyway,afterwards she made her way back to her daughters house who immediately asked 'Where's Kenny ?'

And it one of those 'Oop's' situations where my poor grandmother had to leg it all the way back up town to retrieve my uncle who was still sleeping away in the pram outside the butchers.

For the rest of his life my uncle had to undergo the indignity of being told that it was because he was such an ugly baby nobody would have been desperate enough to have wanted to take him.

Now, about this group called Pram.......

New Pram album "The Moving Frontier" coming out within a few months!

Anyone who likes Broadcast or Stereolab should already know about them, they're a 60s-esque band as well, with a penchant for toy instruments. The best description i've heard of Rosie's voice is that she "sings like she's on a floor that's tilting below her feet."

the music is from the track Moonminer on their new album. I can't wait to hear it because i've heard it's got vocals on the album i think it's exciting because i've never heard a Pram song like this one.
