v2 in trouble

With thanks to Duncan for the tip-off, it would seem that v2 records in North America are in trouble which doesn't bode well for Stina's forthcoming album as there's now a question mark hanging over the European part of the group.

Isn't there anyone who is bothered that Stina's next album is quite likely to be delayed now and that her new website will probably remain unfinished as there'll be no one to pay for it?

I have yet to find more info about this, but if it's true is very bad news indeed.

I'm too excited -still looking forward to the upcoming album- to be bothered by bad news from America; V2Sweden is still there, so i'm hoping for the best; (positive thinking)

Yes,I was wondering that,whether V2 USA includes all the V2 international divisions.Certainly Helen,our contact at V2,works for V2 Sweden.'35 staff' were laid off,which surely means only the US operation-but perhaps the holding company owns the global operation.
Somehow,in the light of Stina's continuing mystifications,it's all very ironic.

One thing is clear and thats Stina's new album won't be distributed in the US by v2.

Hopefully another company will pick up the option because its potentially a very large market for Stina although I don't know exactly how well THIS fared over there.

Hmmm, not a good situation for her, though aren't there high profile acts still on V2 like Stereophonics, surely that should help V2 in Europe at least?
