It looks like the People Are Strange album is gone too. It is no longer listed on sites such as CDON. People missing and thinking about buying this album should to it sooner than later.
doesn't that mean that there aren't many albums sold, so they don't 'reprint' it? It's weird that in this multimedia age things still go 'out of stock' cause it costs near to nothing to burn a cd; but it would be sad for all the previous Stina work to go off the market, cause i think that with the increase of publicity lately there will be more people that hear about Stina and will be interested in buying her albums. But maybe i should go and look for that missing 'People are Strange' in my collection
Actually it might be good news if Warner Music doesn't want to press more copies of People Are Strange. This tells that they are not expecting to make any profits from it and therefor they might be willing to sell the rights back to Stina.
V2 or Stina should definitely try and buy back those rights; i guess a new official page couldn't even be about the previous albums, since the official page that has gone now also only was about the new album... And if Stina gets her rights back then it would probably also be possible to have a store with all material for sale on the site. And maybe even a dvd with all videos; pretty please? maybe we could all put some money together and buy the rights hehe
It would be great if Stina could own her back catalogue but reading ( in the ETC interview) that Stina had to to take out various bank loans just to record TWIS, i doubt there is anything in the kitty to get any where near what EastWest / Independiente would want.
